Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket(s) for our Halloween Candy basket. It was a fun way to fundraise for our school. We had the drawing today and Ismael in the 5th grade won. We will have another basket to raffle in November.
To the Parents of the Kindergarten Class,
We began this year by splitting the class into two groups in order to safely accommodate all of our students with appropriate social distancing measures however, the going back and forth of the teacher and her assistant from room to room has become quite cumbersome for the teachers as well as the student. In the past week we converted one of the cafeteria rooms into a large kindergarten classroom. We feel that this was the best solution for the student’s academic growth. The students are all together now with their teachers in a safe and social distance room. They also have their own entrance and exit and their own bathroom.
Entrance and dismissal procedures will be as follows; there will be no line up in the school yard there is a side door in which you will access by going down a set of stairs. The children will enter and dismiss from this doorway which we will name Entrance D. We ask that you socially distance yourself as you bring your child down the stairs. The line-up on the stairs will be a 3-4 parent limit. There should not be a gathering at the doorway. Use the left side of the stairs to go down and the opposite side of the stairs to come up. It is important that we follow these guidelines as the Department of Health are sending inspectors to all schools and we do not want them to close the school down for not being in compliance. Parents will NOT be allowed to enter the building at Drop Off or Pick Up. Please use Entrance D today at Pick-Up.
We want all our students and staff to be safe and we will continue to work on keeping our academy a safe haven for all.
Please feel free to call the office with any questions.
